At orca my role as a PA is to deal with a wide variety of incoming calls for various companies and relay the details via message back to the relevant contact. But we don’t just take messages, we can get involved in lots of other things like taking bookings online.
August 2012 – this is my 6th year here.
I have enjoyed seeing how the company has grown so much over the years, when I started there was only 3 PA’s in on the weekend now there’s 26 and it’s growing all the time! We did not offer the service of 24/7 when I started so this was a massive step for orcaand I am thrilled to be here to see it progress.
That has to be when our MD, David, came into the office dressed up as Santa! Closely followed by on pancake day when he made us all pancakes with a massive range of toppings to choose from. We have the best bosses you could ask for, they always try to make every event a happy one to remember if you are in work on the day.
orca is a great place to work as the team are friendly and everyone works well together. There are lots of perks too, like PA of the Month. This is for when someone has gone the extra mile on a call, or tried to help the company with hours or shown they have improved that month either with calls or messages. The reward is £50 in high street vouchers. You also receive a bonus if you recommend someone to join the company.
There is a good team here at orca as all the team members are committed to the purpose of the group and they actively participate in its activities. These great teams accept differing opinions and healthy conflict with full engagement. We are all fully committed towards achieving the best quality in our calls and work for our clients to give the best standard here at CMJ. The management are always arranging meetings and are happy to hear our opinions and suggestions which are never ignored. In fact, they are always recorded in order to be revisited in case the future situations dictate so.

Since I have been at orca, I have made my many friends and really enjoy my time here. It is great talking to different people and taking different types of calls through the day. The company has helped me through some hard times when one of my children was in hospital for a couple of days. Management here are very helpful and supportive.
I have two young children so working at orca is not just a job. For me it’s also a social break and the team is always friendly and very inclusive. The company have always arranged get togethers for everyone in the office to socialise together and get to know each other better away from the work environment. This is fab for the team building.
